2024 (5) TMI 1478 - SCH - Indian LawsSeeking grant of bail - offences punishable under Sections 8/22(c)/23/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 - HELD THAT - Considering the fact that the petitioner is also an accused in another matter which is registered against him under the NDPS Act there are absolutely no reason to grant bail to the petitioner. The Special Leave Petition is dismissed accordingly.
The Supreme Court dismissed the Special Leave Petition of a petitioner who is in jail since April 2021 for offences under the NDPS Act. The petitioner's bail application was rejected by the High Court, and the Court found no reason to grant bail due to the petitioner being an accused in another NDPS Act case.
