It is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner - the petitioner is directed to be released on bail - SLP disposed off.
The Supreme Court, comprising Hon'ble Justices B.R. Gavai, Prashant Kumar Mishra, and K.V. Viswanathan, considered a petition seeking bail. The Additional Solicitor General opposed the petition, citing the petitioner's involvement in a crime causing "huge loss to the public exchequer." However, the Court noted that the chargesheet was filed and the evidence was "documentary in nature," concluding that "no further incarceration of the petitioner is necessary." Consequently, the Court granted bail, directing release on terms to be imposed by the Trial Court. The special leave petition and any pending applications were disposed of accordingly.
