The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, New Delhi allowed the application for waiver of pre-deposit of penalty amount of Rs. 10,000 and stay of recovery pending appeal. The issue involved interpretation of a Notification, leading to complete waiver of pre-deposit of penalty amount. The appeal is scheduled for regular hearing on 19-3-2001.
