2025 (7) TMI 1243 - SCH - Income TaxDelay filling appeal - appeal filed by the petitioner/Department was dismissed by the High Court finding no justification for condonation of delay of 979 days in filing thereof - HELD THAT - We do not find any error in the order passed by the High Court. Application for condonation of delay as well as the Special Leave Petition are accordingly dismissed. The Supreme Court, in a bench comprising Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal and Hon'ble Mr. Justice R. Mahadevan, dismissed the appeal filed by the petitioner/Department. The High Court's refusal to condone a delay of 979 days in filing the appeal was upheld, with the Court stating, "We do not find any error in the order passed by the High Court." Consequently, both the application for condonation of delay and the Special Leave Petition were dismissed, and all pending applications were disposed of.
