1994 (1) TMI 169 - AT - Customs

The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, Bombay directed the applicant to deposit Rs. 2,00,000/- as against a penalty of Rs. 10,00,000/- imposed on him. The applicant's financial position was considered, and the deposit was reduced to Rs. one lakh to be paid within 10 weeks. Failure to comply within 11 weeks would result in dismissal of the appeal.
