1998 (6) TMI 142 - AT - Customs

The judgment by Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, New Delhi involved a stay of auction for a confiscated truck, with a fine of Rs. 2,00,000 imposed. The appeal was fixed for early hearing on 9-7-1998 to prevent the property from being unavailable for restoration to the applicant. The Revenue authorities were directed not to auction the truck pending appeal.
