1998 (7) TMI 254 - AT - Central Excise
The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, New Delhi ruled that the demand of duty for declaring goods as watch crystals when they were actually watch glass is barred by time. The appeal was allowed based on the clarification that watch crystals are considered watch glasses as per the Ministry of Finance Circular and dictionary definitions.
