The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, New Delhi rejected the stay petition filed by the Revenue to stay the operation of the order passed by the Commissioner (Appeals) based on the case of Mafatlal Industries Limited. The Tribunal found no merit in the request as it would not lead to undue hardship to the Government. The stay petition was rejected.
