2000 (5) TMI 418 - AT - Central Excise
The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, Calcutta directed the appellant to deposit Rs. 3 lac within six weeks, while waiving the balance of duty and penalty. The appellant failed to prove that handling charges were credit charges, and their financial position indicated they could afford the deposit. Compliance to be reviewed on 10th July, 2000.
