2000 (9) TMI 540 - AT - Central Excise

The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, Mumbai condoned a one-day delay in filing an appeal and decided to take up eight appeals by couriers against the forfeiture of security. The Commissioner's order was set aside as it was found to be without legal authority due to a public notice conflicting with the regulations. The appeals were allowed.
