The judgment deals with two appeals regarding the execution of payment orders against a deceased contributory in a company liquidation case. The court held that payment orders against a dead person are null and void, and cannot be executed. Legal representatives and heirs are liable to contribute to the company's assets in due course of administration as per section 160(1) of the Indian Companies Act. The Letters Patent appeal was dismissed, and the second appeal was allowed with costs, directing the setting aside of the order for payment order execution.
