CESS ON RUBBER In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12 of the Rubber Act, 1947 (24 of 1947) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce number S.O. 488(E), dated the 30th June, 1994, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of September, 1998 as the date from which the duty of excise at the rate of rupee one and paise fifty only per kilogram ( Rs.1.50 per kg.) , of rubber shall be levied as cess on all rubber produced in India.
