Adjournment of public examination to Court. 251. Where on an exami nation held before an officer appointed by the Judge under rule 249 of these rules, such officer is of the opinion that the examination is being unduly or unnecessarily protracted, or for any other sufficient cause, he is of the opinion that the examination should be held before the Judge, such officer may adjourn the examination of any person, or any part of the examination, to be held before the Judge and submit his report to the Judge. The Judge may thereupon hold the examination himself or pass such orders as he may think fit.
