RESERVE BANK OF INDIA (Foreign Exchange Department) (CENTERAL OFFICE) NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 20th March, 2018 No. FEMA. 389/2018-RB Foreign Exchange Management (Cross Border Merger) Regulations, 2018 G.S.R. 244(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section (6) read with section 47 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999), the Reserve Bank makes the following regulations relating to merger, amalgamation and arrangement between Indian companies and foreign companies, namely: Short title and commencement 1. (i) These Regulations may be called the Foreign Exchange Management (Cross Border Merger) Regulations, 2018. (ii) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
