Rule 1 - Short Title and Commencement - Foreign Exchange (Compounding Proceedings) Rules, 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 46 read with sub-section (1) of section 15 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999) , and in supersession of the Foreign Exchange (Compounding Proceedings) Rules, 2000 , except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely: - Short Title and Commencement . 1. (1) These rules may be called the Foreign Exchange (Compounding Proceedings) Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
