MINISTRY OF LAW (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 22 nd June, 1962/ Asadha 1, 1884 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 22 nd June, 1962, is hereby published for general information:- THE FINANCE (NO. 2) ACT, 1962 No. 20 of 1962 [22nd June, 1962] An Act to give effect to the financial proposals of the Central Government for the financial year 1962-63 BE it enacted by Parliament in the Thirteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows : 1. Short Title and Commencement (1) This Act may be called the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1962. (2) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, sections 3 to 14 inclusive shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 1962, and sub section (1) of section 16 and section 18 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 23rd day of April, 1962.
