Article 28 - Entry into force - Mauritius

CHAPTER VI FINAL PROVISIONS ARTICLE 28 ENTRY INTO FORCE Each of the Contracting State shall notify to the other completion of the procedures required by its law for the bringing into force of this Convention. The Convention shall enter into force on the date of the later of these notifications and shall thereupon have effect : (a) in India, in respect of income and capital gains assessable for any assessment year commencing on or after 1st April, 1983 ; (b) in Mauritius, in respect of income and capital gains assessable for any assessment year commencing on or after 1st July, 1983.
