INSTRUCTION NO. 814/CBDT Dated : December 18, 1974 Attention is invited to the Board's Instruction No. 698 dated the 1st June, 1974 issued from file No. 326/30/74-W.T. on the above subject. The limits for investment in 12-year National Defence Certificates (Discontinued from 14-3-1970) mentioned at S.No. 7 of para 2 of the above Instruction dated the 1st June, 1974 may be taken as Rs. 35,000 for single account and Rs. 70,000 for joint name instead of Rs. 25,000 in single account and Rs. 50,000 in the joint name mentioned therein. 2. The above modification may please be brought to the notice of all assessing officers in each charge for necessary action.
