Withdrawal of exemption granted u/s 35(1) - R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur - Income Tax - 863/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 863/CBDT Dated : August 14, 1975 Section(s) Referred: 35(1)(ii) Statute: Income - Tax Act, 1961 Reference is invited to Notification No. 582 (F.No. 203/13/74-ITA-II, dated the 27th March, 1974), granting approvl u/s 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961 to the R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur. On the recommendation of the prescribed authority i.e. the Indian Council of Medical Researih, New Delhi the approval granted u/s 35(1)(ii) to the R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur has been withdrawn with retospective effect from 27th March, 1974. A copy of the Notification cancelling the approval is enclosed. 2. You may kindly issue necessary instructions to the officers working in your charge not to allow deduction u/s 35(1)(ii) in the assessment in respect of donations made to the R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur.
