Subject:- Register of directors shareholdings Whether specific mention is to be made in minutes that it was kept open and accessible at commencement of meeting A point arose whether it is obligatory that there should be a specific mention in the relevant minutes of the annual general meetings of the companies of the fact that the register of directors shareholdings required to be maintained in terms of sub section (7) of section 307 has been produced at the commencement of the meeting and kept open and accessible during the continuance of the meeting to any person having a right to attend the meeting. The point was examined and this Department has been advised that there is no such obligation as sub section (7) of section 307 does not require any specific mention to be made of such fact in the relevant minutes.
