Circular: No. 3[14/3/87-CL-V], dated 9-2-1988. Subject:- System of pre-acceptance procedural scrutiny of documents introduced The Registrar of Companies, Calcutta and Madras, introduced the system of pre-acceptance procedural scrutiny of documents during the month of October 1986, and had scrutinised 6,500 and 3,154 documents, respectively. The system has been welcomed by public and also eliminates unnecessary delay in correspondence. The defective documents be returned by hand indicating the defects for being remedied. This system should be introduced in your office and its modalities worked out, in consultation with Member/Regional Director. However, in respect of documents filed by post, the existing practice of pointing out defects may continue.
