This Public Notice has been superseded vide PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 72/2003 dated 21/07/2004 Agricultural product will be allowed to be exported as "Organic Product" PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 19(RE-2001)/1997-2002 Dated 11/06/2001 In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 11.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, (incorporating amendments made upto 31.03.2001) , the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby lays down following procedures for export of 'certified organic products':- An agricultural product will be allowed to be exported as " Organic Product" only if it is produced, processed or packed under a valid Organic Certificate issued by a certifying agency duly accredited by one of the following Accreditation Agencies: i. Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) ii. Coffee Board iii. Spices Board iv. Tea Board. 2. This will be effective from 1st October, 2001 3.
