Extension of due date for filing of quarterly return of payment of interest to residents without deduction of tax at source F. No. 385/35/2005-IT(B) dated 3rd February, 2006. In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 119 of the Income-tax Act,1961, the Central Board of Direct Taxes, hereby extends the due date for filing of quarterly returns under sub-section (1) of section 206A of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for the quarters ending 30-6-2005, 30-9-2005 and 31-12-2005 to 30th April, 2006.
