Attention of all exporters and importers is invited to Trade Notice No. 2/AM-12 dated 16th November, 2011 wherein they were advised to surrender additional IECs issued against one PAN within 45 days in cases where more than one IEC had been obtained by them. In order to ensure that the exporters are not inconvenienced, a further time of 45 days is given to the IEC holders having multiple IEC numbers to voluntarily surrender their additional IECs. No further extension will now be possible. Kindly note. Accordingly, all exporters and importers who have obtained more than one IEC against one PAN are being given final opportunity to surrender additional IECs within 45 days from the date of issue of this Trade Notice failing which such multiple IECs shall be made inoperative without any further correspondence.
