Service Tax — Creation of new branch - Service Tax - Trade Notice No. 117/CEST/2/96 - Meerut

The Trade is hereby informed that, all the matters pertaining to Service Tax will be dealt by the Asstt. Commissioner (Tech.), Central Excise Commissionerate, Meerut, under whom a new Branch has been created. This Branch to be called as Service Tax Branch and will be headed by a Superintendent (Service Tax). All references connected with Service Tax should hence forth be made to Addl. Commissioner (Tech)/Assistant Commissioner (Tech), Central Excise Commissionerate, Meerut. All members of Trade/RAC/Chambers of Commerce and Trade Associations are requested to publicise the contents of this Trade Notice to all their constituents and others concerned.
