Facility of Direct Port Delivery-Reg. - Customs - 19/2015Extract GOVERNMENT OF INDIA OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS CUSTOM HOUSE: COCHIN-682009 TRADE FACILTY No.19/2015 Dated 10.08.2015 Sub: Facility of Direct Port Delivery-Reg. Attention of all importers, Customs Brokers, Steamer/Shipping Agents/Shipping Line, Custodians, Officers of Customs and other stake holders is drawn to the Trade Facility No.06/2011 and Trade Facility No. 31/2013 issued by this Custom House. It is observed that importer/steamer agents are showing CFS at the time of filing IGM in case DPD containers also which is not required. Indicating a CFS in the IGM against DPD containers has resulted in debiting of bond of the respective CFS at the time of movement approval. In fact as the cargo is taken from ICTT to importer s premises without going to any CFS, movement approval is not required and bond amount does not get re-credited in such cases. To avoid above situation, henceforth DPD permission/holders/their Custom Brokers shall instruct steamer agents not to declare any CFS while filing IGM, if they want to take Direct Port Delivery of containers from ICTT Vallarpadam. The Out of Charge in this case shall be obtained from Port CFS (Q10). In case any CFS is shown in the IGM against any DPD consignment, the containers will have to be taken to the said CFS for obtaining Out of Charge. If any DPD permission holder prefers to obtain Out of Charge from any CFS other than Port CFS, he may do so with special permission of Additional Commissioner (System Manager). In such cases the importer shall mention the CFS in the IGM and shall take the container to the CFS mentioned in the IGM. This shall come into force with immediate effect. Difficulties if any on implementation of the above procedure may be brought to the notice of the undersigned. Dr. K. N. RAGHAVAN COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS
