Ltd. at New Napalayam, Edayanchavadi declared Customs area for handling import/export cargo In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 8 (b) of the Customs Act, 1962 , the premises of M/s Triway Container Freight Station Pvt. Ltd., 148, Edayanchavadi, New Napalayam, Ponneri High Road, Chennai 600103, more fully described below, is declared as CUSTOMS AREA for the purpose of examination and clearance of cargo imported in FCL containers which were allowed to be moved from Chennai Port Trust to the C.F.S. (M/s Triway Container Freight Station Pvt. Ltd., 148, Edayanchavadi, New Napalayam, Ponneri High Road, Chennai 600103) (Other than LCL Cargo and Passengers Unaccompanied Baggage) and examination, stuffing/loading of export cargo into containers under Customs Supervision and sealing of the same by Customs with Customs seals. Description of area and location: M/S Triway Container Freight Station Pvt. Ltd., having CFS at 148, Edayanchavadi, New Napalayam, Ponneri High Road, Chennai 600103 situated in an area of 24 acres having a covered shed area of 75000 Sq ft., and open area of 1,00,000 sq ft. for storage of both stuffed and empty containers. Out of the total covered shed area of 75000 sq ft., an area of 35000 sq. ft is separately demarcated for the specific purpose of consolidation, handling and shipment of LCL Export cargo for Single Port, Multi Port and Multi Shipper Cargo. (Survey Nos. 129,144 to 147,152 to 155). Boundaries : NORTH : PONNERI HIGH ROAD SOUTH : Land bearing Survey Nos. 147/5A/5B, 153/2B EAST : Land bearing Survey Nos. 157/3 and 157/2 WEST : Land bearing SurveyNos.144/6,7,8,10,11,12 (Total area : 10,45,440 Sq.ft., 24 acres) Procedures to be followed : The procedures for dealing with Import FCL cargo (other than LCL cargo and Unaccompanied baggage goods) and Export Cargo, as laid down in Public Notices 19/98, 111/2002 and 255/2002 issued by this Custom House should be followed. The procedure outlined in Board s Circular 55/2000 dated 30th June 2000, further modified by Board s Circular No.22/2001-Cus dated 17.04.2001 , for consolidation of cargo at CFSs should also be adhered to. Export LCL Cargo should be kept in the godown allotted for the operation and should not be mixed up with other FCL cargo. Separate sheds for LCL and FCL cargo should be provided. The sheds should also be provided with Lock Fast Facility for storage of sensitive cargo. The Public Notice will come into effect from 01.09.2006.
