No. S/23-30/Tech/2017-18 Date: 22.12.2017 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 165/2017 Subject: - ICES advisory on proposed ICES Maintenance Activity planned between 00.00 to 18.00 hours on 24.12.2017 due to scheduled migration of RMS database to a new platform on 23rd and 24th of December. - reg. Attention of all the importers, exporters, customs brokers, and other stakeholders is invited to the ICES advisory 23/2017 dated 21.12.2017 on (ICES Maintenance activity) received from Directorate General of Systems -New Delhi stating that, - The IT infrastructure on which Applications (ICES) are running would be going out of support shortly. This necessitates the migration of the database to newer platform. This activity has been planned from 0000 hours on 24.12.2017 to 1800 hours on 24.12.2017. During this period, the Customs Application would n t be available to users, participating government agencies and CBEC Officials. In view of the above, the following Advisory is being issued for the benefit of all concerned: 1. Though the activity would start at 0000 hours on 24.12.2017 (Sunday), the filing of declarations (Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, Import General Manifest and Export General Manifest) would be halted at 1630 hours on 23.12.2017 (Saturday), in preparation for the said activity. Accordingly, all the locations are advised to clear the consignments by 2100 hours on 23.12.2017. Necessary steps to accomplish this may be taken by respective System Managers. 2. It is advised that Section 48 approvals should also be slopped at 1630 hours on 23.12.2017, 3. The Cust01ns Application is expected to be made available to the users from 1800 hours on 24.12.2017. In case of any extension in timelines beyond that specified above, for any unforeseen reasons whatsoever, suitable and necessary instructions/advisory would be communicated by DG Systems. 4.
