Industry, Trade and Businesses may be aware that for the purpose of levy of GST, it is important to classify goods under HSN Code (Harmonised System of Nomenclature Code) and the services under SAC (Services Accounting Code) to determine the correct rate of tax. 2. With a view to facilitate a better understanding of classification of goods and services under the GST r gime, the Tiruchirappalli GST Central Excise Commissionerate is conducting an Awareness Programme from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 05.12.2017 in the Conference Hall situated on the 31 d floor B-Wing of this Office Building located at 1, Williams Road, Cantonment, Tiruchirappalli - 620 001 (next to Seva Sangam School). 3. Representative of Industry, Businesses, Trade and also General Public are welcome to attend the programme. 4. The Industry and Trade Associations / Chambers of Commerce are requested to bring the contents of this Trade Notice, to the attention of all their members.
