NO.VIII/48/77/2018 City cus Tech Dated:01.03.2019 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 05/2019 Subject: - Conduct of online examination under Regulation 6 of Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018 by the National Academy of Custom, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), Faridabad - Reg. Attention of all the 30 eligible candidates shortlisted by Bengaluru Customs Commissionerate to appear in the Customs Broker examination under Regulation 6 of Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018 is invited to the Notices issued by this office vide file C. No. VIII/48/77/2018 City cus Tech dated 22.11.2018 and 19.12.2018. 2. Further, vide Notification No.8/2019-Customs (N. T) dated 6/2/2019 issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) has been authorized to conduct examination under Regulation 6 of the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2()18. The said examination for the year 2019 shall be conducted by NACIN on 15.03.2019 at designated centers across India. In this regard Press Release has been issued in leading newspapers on 14.02.2019. 3. The examination will be a Computer Based Exam with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Of 3 hours (10:30 -13:30) duration. Questions will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi. There will be 150 questions of 2 marks each and to pass the exam, a candidate will be required to score minimum 180 marks. There will be no negative marking. The syllabus of examination is prescribed in Regulation 6 (7) of the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018. Those qualifying in said examination will have to appear for oral examination in terms of Regulation 6 of said Regulations. 4. A dummy Question paper for the purpose of awareness of candidates has been made available on the CBIC and NACIN websites under the icon/tab GSTP/CBLR Exam , from 20th February. 2019. A link to download the admit card has also been provided therein. Admit cards shall also be sent by email to eligible applicants 15 days in advance before the date of examination. For convenience of candidates, other necessary details like list Of centers, guidelines to the candidates, help desk email id etc. has also been made available under the said icon/tab. 5. All eligible candidates are requested to login and access the dummy/ practice question paper and report any issue, if faced, immediately to the helpline [email protected].
