As per letter C. No. IV/26/19/2018 Systems Pt 1/2145 dated 15.03.2019 issued by ADG, O/o ADG, Systems, Chennai it was mentioned that in CBIC-GST Application , Zone- Commissionerate-Division-Range (Z-C-D-R) has been defined as a jurisdiction and Range is the base in the jurisdictional hierarchy to which taxpayer is ultimately aligned. Accordingly, determining and linking of a jurisdiction is required in the CBIC-GST Application . It is therefore necessary to indicate a Z-C-D-R to which the UIN could be mapped for all future purposes. 2. However, for taxpayer facilitation and administrative reasons, identified officers of any other branch/section of the zone, can handle the refund work of UIN/SBY. For CST Application purposes, the officer would be mapped to a particular Z-C-D-R jurisdiction. In the application, relevant permission would be enabled for such officer irrespective of the section/branch/place of work where he/she is placed.
