Extension of facility of 24x7 Customs Clearance at ACC Import - Customs - Public Notice 05/2019

No. VIII/12/Import/Tech/PN/14/2016-17/Pt-1/3070-85 Dated 06/03/2019 Public Notice 05/2019 Sub: Extension of facility of 24x7 Customs Clearance at ACC Import Reg. Kind attention of all Importers, Customs Brokers, Members of Trade, Industry Association and other stake holders including Custodians is invited towards Board s circular no. 19/2014-Customs dated 31/12/2014 and subsequent circular no. 04/2017-Customs dated 16.02.2017. 2. In order to facilitate trade, ACC Import Shed has already been functioning 24x7 for Customs clearance of import goods. In order to further streamline the customs functioning and for convenience of trade, it has been decided that henceforth customs will operate in following three shifts at ACC Import Shed. Days Shift Timing All Days Shift 1 08:00 AM to 03:00 PM Shift 2 03:00 PM to 10:00PM Shift 3 10:00 PM to 08:00AM 3. The deployment of officers during different shifts shall be made keeping in mind the work load for clearances. Accordingly, the importers/CHAs intending clearance of import goods, for non-AEO clients (importers), during the last shift of the day or during any shift on Sunday / public holiday are required to give prior intimation well in advance to DC Shed (Admin). 4. It has been decided that all exit gates shall remain open from 09:00AM to However, one exit gate at DCSC warehouse and one exit gate at CELEBI warehouse in addition to KBE gate shall remain open 24x7 in order to facilitate clearance round-the-clock. Respective custodians shall make necessary arrangements with regard to infrastructure, space, machinery and human resources for giving Customs Clearance 24x7. All concerned airlines are requested to ensure round- the -clock availability of delivery orders. 5. The above directions shall come into force w.e.f. the date of issuance of this public notice, All public notices issued in the past on the aforesaid issue stand modified to the above extent.
