UPS Express Private Limited as Customs Cargo Service Provider/ Custodian under Regulation 10 of Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009 for a period of 02 years In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 45(1) of the Customs Act 1962 read with Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009, as amended, I, Arti Agarwal Srinivas, Commissioner of Customs (Air Cargo Export), New Custom House, New Delhi-10037, hereby appoint M/S. UPS Express Private Limited as Customs Cargo Service Provider/ Custodian under Regulation 10 of Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009 for a period of 02 years in respect of their own courier consignments that are imported or exported through UPS Express Terminal (adjacent to New Courier Terminal) situated at DCSC Cargo Terminal-3, (Near Haj Terminal), IGI Airport, New Delhi until they are cleared for home consumption or for export. M/S Express Industry Council of India (EICI) are hereby appointed as the custodian in respect of all the courier consignments other than those of M/S DHL Worldwide Express, M/S Fedex Express Transportation and Supply Chain Services (India) Private Limited M/S. UPS Express Private Limited that are imported or exported through New Courier Terminal (Near Haj terminal) New Delhi until they are cleared for home consumption or for export. However M/S. EICI shall allow clear all consignments of M/S. UPS Express Private Limited which have already arrived or are in-transit for a transitional period of one week from the date of this public notice. The Custodians would be required to comply with the provisions of Section 45(2) of the Customs Act, 1962 read with Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009(as amended) as well as instructions standing orders issued from time to time. The appointment of Custodian is subject to the conditions specified in the undertaking executed by M/S UPS Express Pvt. Ltd and M/S. Express Industry Council of India (EICI) before the Commissioner of Customs (Air Cargo Export), New Custom House, New Delhi. Hindi version follows.
