Opening of Central GST offices post Lockdown due to COVID-19 - Customs - Trade Notice No. 03/2020

EX., ALLAHABAD 38, MAHATMA GANDHI MARG, CIVIL LINES, ALLAHABAD 211002 Dated 17.04.2020 Trade Notice No. 03/2020 Subject Opening of Central GST offices post Lockdown due to COVID-19 CGST Allahabad has decided to open its offices in pursuance of the order vide F. No. C.50/30/2020.Ad II issued by Central Board of Indirect Taxes Customs, in accordance with the consolidated revised guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs on the measures to be taken by the Ministries/Departments of Government of India for containment of COVID-19 in the country. All our offices spread across the Commissionerate HQ in Allahabad, divisional offices in Allahabad, Jaunpur, Faizabad, Raebareli and all range offices will open w. e. f. 20th April 2020. We have always stood firm in resolving the issues faced by taxpayers, enhancing ease of doing business and ensuring facilitation to extend the favourable environment for businesses to prosper for collection of taxes in service of the nation. Once again, as we take steps to come out of this unprecedented economic strain caused by COVID-19, we reiterate our commitment to do our best to enable the taxpayers tide over this crisis caused by COVID-19, smoothly and rapidly. We are also prepared to take necessary steps for sanitization of our office complexes to ensure safety of officers and visitors. However, we request the taxpayers to get an appointment with concerned officers in advance before planning a visit to the office till the time such lockdown related restrictions are in place. This becomes necessary as at a particular time, all officers shall not be available in office as per guidelines to minimise physical meetings and ensure social distancing for the time being. Taxpayers may contact officers through Mobile, E-mail, video platforms as the need be. The contact details of concerned divisional officers are attached with this trade notice. Any further information and guidelines in this matter will be issued by the Commissionerate from time to time, which will also be uploaded on Commissionerate official website https://www.centralexcisealld.com.
