No. S/3-MISC-PRO-05/2020-21/ ACC (I) Date : 08.09.2020 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 122/2020 Subject: Approval of different category of processed plant products which have least Phytosanitary risk, amended in PQ-Order, 2003-reg. Kind attention of the importers, exporters, Customs Brokers and all other stakeholders is invited to the letter dated 07.09.2020 by DD/ Regional Plant Quarantine Station, Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine Storage, Mumbai, clarifying earlier Office Memorandum F.No. 95-1//2013-PQD dated 06.07.2018 issued by Joint Director (PQ), Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine Storage, Ministry of Agriculture Farmers Welfare on the above mentioned subject. 2. The operative part of para 1 of the above said Office Memorandum is reproduced below: In compliance to the DAC FW letter under File no.8-99/2018-PP-II dated 06.07.2018, all the Plant Quarantine stations are hereby informed that the Gazette notification vide S.O.3194(E) dated 29.06.2018 was issued whereby Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order 2003 has been amended to include the definition of Processed items . The list of the items is enclosed herewith (Annexure-I) as a ready reference. Being least phytosanitary risks associated with these processed items clearance from Plant Quarantine authorities in India will not be required. Also no phytosanitary inspection will be done for these items. 3. The above is brought to the notice of all concerned for taking necessary steps for compliance. 4. Difficulty, if any, faced in implementation of this Public Notice may be brought to the notice of the DC/AC, PRO (Import) through email at [email protected]. 5. Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice should be considered as standing order for the purpose of officers and staff.
