Reference is invited to Public Notice No. 50/2022 dated 22.11.2022 regarding amendment of Bill of Entry through ICEGATE and CMC. In this regard in continuation of this Public Notice kind attention of all Importers, Custom Brokers, Trade, Customs Staff and other stakeholders is invited regarding amendment to be carried out U/s 149 of the Customs Act, 1962 in Bill of Entry post Out-of-charge. 2. It is noticed that presently each and every assessing group is receiving request of amendment from the importer or through Customs Broker (CB) either physically or on e-mail id of the concerned group and further files were opened and processed on e-office. Trade has raised their concern that this process consumes considerable time and requested to simplify the procedure in this matter. 3. Hence, to streamline the process of receiving amendment request. Importers Customs Brokers are directed to file such request (with specific mention of the concerned assessing group) at the CRU Section or they shall send the request along with documents to official e-mail id of import Commissionerate i.e. import.ace@gov.in. After receiving the request, CRU Section Officer shall diaries the documents on the same day and send it to the concerned assessing Group AC/DC on e-office. The AC/DC shall take decision on the request of the Importer Customs Broker as per the provisions of the Section 149 of the Customs Act, 1962. ( G. Shiril Saroj ) Commissioner
