M/s FedEx Express Transportation and Supply Chain Services (India) Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as FedEx ) has requested the office of Principal Commissioner of Customs, Airport ACC, Bengaluru for extension of their operational area for handling the consignments under Section 48 of Customs Act, 1962 which will help them in utilizing the space under present custodianship for clearance of live/current shipments in an efficient manner. The request was examined. M/s FedEx was granted custodianship of their existing area vide Public Notice No. 32/2021-AP ACC BLR dated 02.11.2021 valid till 01.11.2023 and the Customs Area and its limits were notified vide Public Notice No. 33/2021-AP ACC BLR dated 02.11.2021. 2. Now, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Principal Commissioner of Customs under Section 8(a) (b) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, Kajal Singh, Principal Commissioner of Customs, Airport ACC, Bengaluru do hereby notify the specified area of 2250 sq. ft. (as depicted by shaded area in the enclosed map) located at Unit No. 61, 62 63, Cargo Village, KIA, Bengaluru 560300, [bounded on North by Warehouse No. 64; South by Warehouse No. 60; East by Warehouse Nos. 70,71,72 and West by Access Road], as Customs Area for the purpose of storage and handling consignments under Section 48 of the Customs Act, 1962 by M/s FedEx in addition to the premises notified in Public Notice No. 33/2021-AP ACC BLR dated 02.11.2021. 3. Further in exercise of power conferred upon Principal Commissioner of Customs under section 45(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, and in partial modification of Public Notice No. 32/2021-AP ACC BLR dated 02.11.2021, I, Kajal Singh, Principal Commissioner of Customs, Airport ACC, Bengaluru, hereby appoint M/s FedEx as custodian of their own courier consignments imported through FedEx Express Courier facilities at Plot No C-19, Express Cargo Terminal, Survey No. 90,180,181,182,183,197, Arasinagunte Village, Devanahalli, Bengaluru - 560 300, for storage and handling under Section 48 of Customs Act, 1962 of such consignments at area as mentioned in para 2 above. 4. The existing bond and BG given by M/s FedEx for their custodianship at existing premises at Express Cargo Terminal, Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, as per Public Notice No. 32/2021-AP ACC BLR dated 02.11.2021, will also cover the transit, storage and handling of goods at the extended premises at Unit No.61,62 63, Cargo Village, KIA, Bengaluru 560300. 5. M/s FedEx has taken the extended premises from M/s Cargo Service Center Pvt. Ltd. vide Leave License Agreement dated 19.04.2022 and renewed vide Addendum-I dated 17.05.2023, for a period upto 31.12.2023, however, as per Public Notice No. 32/2021-AP ACC BLR dated 02.11.2021, the CCSP/custodianship of M/s FedEx is valid upto 01.11.2023. Therefore, M/s FedEx shall approach the jurisdictional Customs Office for renewal of CCSP/Custodianship permission of their existing premises at Express Cargo Terminal, Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru as well as extended premises at Unit No. 61,62 63, Cargo Village, KIA, Bengaluru 560300, one month before the expiry of their Custodianship as is mentioned in Public Notice No. 32/2021-AP ACC BLR dated 02.11.2021. 6. M/s FedEx would be required to comply with the provisions of Customs Act, 1962, rules and regulations made there under as well as instructions and standing orders issued from time to time.
