Attention of Importers/Exporters/Members of Trade and all other stakeholders is brought to Notification No. 57/2017- Customs dated 30.06.2017, amended by Notification No. 02/2019-Customs dated 29.01.2019, which gives descriptions of certain goods that are categorized as Telecommunication Products or Equipments under Tariff items 8517 62 90 and 8517 69 90. 2. In this context, it has been observed that doubts were raised regarding the category of goods specifically those at points (b) to (h), amongst points (a) to (h) in the Notification, which are covered under the broader description of Telecommunication Products and Equipments mentioned against the Tariff items 8517 62 90 and 8517 69 90. 3. In order to dispel the doubts of all stakeholders, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes Customs has now issued Circular No.08/2023 dated 13.03.2023, thereby illustrating the identification of Products / Equipments covered thereunder as Annexure-1. 4. Further, for the benefit of all stakeholders, a facility is enabled w.e.f. 01.04.2023 to mark the identification of the products under Tariff items 8517 62 90 and 8517 69 90 at the time of filing of Bill of Entry /import declaration by additionally declaring therein the alpha numeric code/identifier as provided in Annexure 2. 5.
