Different possible classification of Polyols and Isocyanates Circular No. 7/89 Dated 18-1-1989 [From F. No. 93/22/88-CX.3] Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject : Different possible classification of Polyols and Isocyanates Attention is invited to the instructions contained in Board's F.No. 93/22/88-CX.3, dated 4-1-1989 (Circular No. 2/89-CX.3) , wherein the Board had clarified that Polyols and Isocyanates, even when presented together at the time of sale, should be assessed to Central Excise duty individually on merits. The Deputy Chief Chemist, CRCL, New Delhi, had also concurred with the view of the Board. 2. The Deputy Chief Chemist, CRCL, New Delhi, in the meanwhile, has also forwarded a note confirming the above-mentioned view and has, in addition, offered some suggestions regarding the different possible classifications of Polyols and Isocyanates. The said note of the Deputy Chief Chemist is enclosed for your information and guidance.
