Director General of Income-Tax (I CI) Sub: Guidelines for Decentralisation of cases from Central Charges Ref Board s Guidelines in F. No: 286/68/2004-IT(Inv.II) dated 26.02.2009 Sir/Madam, 1. The undersigned is directed to refer to the above and to state that the word May in Para 4.1 of the above referred guidelines will be read as August with effect from 01.04.2014. 2. I am also directed to request you to take immediate steps for decentralization of the eligible pending cases. List of such cases should be prepared well in advance to ensure timely decentralization of eligible cases. 3. This may be brought to the knowledge of all Income Tax authorities working in your Region for due compliance. 4. This issues with the approval of the Member(lnv.), CBDT. Yours faithfully, (S. L.
