Ref1 : Board s letter of even number dated 26.11.2014 (copy enclosed) Ref2 : Board s letter of even number dated 16.03.2015 13.10.2015 (copy enclosed) Sir, Kind reference is invited to the above, wherein vide Ref 1, CBDT issued instruction to all the field formation to discontinue the practice of sending a copy of Preliminary Search Reports (PSRs) to CEIB. However, it has come to notice of the Board that some field stations are still continuing the practice of sharing the PSRs with CEIB. 2. In view of this, I am directed to request that the above instruction to stop sending PSRs to CEIB be complied with strictly. 3. Further, vide Ref 2, the Board instructed the field information to send information shared by them with REIC from to the CEIB within 15 days from the completion of the Appraisal Report. It has been reported to CBDT that the same is not being shared with REIC/ CEIB. 4. In this regard, I am further directed to request you to kindly furnish the following information to the undersigned latest by 15/1/2016 on Fax Nos. 23092643/23092616 : (a) No of searches conducted and number of appraisals finalized after the issuance of this instruction dated 16.03.2015. (b) No. of cases in which findings were shared with CEIB and REIC (c) The details of information so shared as referred in para (b) above 5. In case no information has been shared with CEIB, the reasons thereof may be furnished to the Board and responsibility for non-compliance with CBDT s instructions may be fixed and necessary action taken.
