Issued updated Security Manual for Licensed Defence Industries (SMLDI), 2025 - FEMA - Press Note No. 03 (2025 series)Extract Government of India Ministry of Commerce Industry Department for Promotion of Industry Internal Trade Press Note No. 03 (2025 series) SECURITY MANUAL FOR LICENSED DEFENCE INDUSTRIES The Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, has reviewed the existing Security Manual for Licensed Defence Industries (SMLDI), 2014 after detailed consultation with the relevant stakeholders. The updated Security Manual for Licensed Defence Industries (SMLDI), 2025 is available at its website https://www.ddpmod.gov.in/documents/acts-and-policies The companies having Industrial Licenses issued by this Department will ensure compliance to all the provisions of the Security Manual for Licensed Defence Industries (SMLDI), 2025 before commencing production of the Licensed item(s).
