Attention is invited to Board's letter F. No. 24/10/69-CX.IV/8, dated 22.6.1970 read with F. No. 261/4/92/72-CX.8, dated 9.9.1974. The procedure prescribed under the above mentioned instructions is not being adhered to. The Board therefore desires that strict compliance of these instructions should be made by any default in observance of these instructions be taken cognisance by Collectors for punishing erring officials.
