AC cars import by Tourism corporations/ Tour Operators - No licence and limit on imports - Customs - 093/95Extract Circular No. 93 dated 14/8/95 F. No. 528/63/95-Cus. (TU) Government of India Ministry of Finance Department of Revenue, New Delhi Subject : Import of cars by State Tourism Corporations, Tour Operators etc. - Regarding. I am directed to invite your attention to Customs Notfn. No. 73/94 dated 1.3.1994 as amended vide Notfn. No. 113/95-Cus. dated 7.6.1995 and to say that by amending notification air conditioned cars have been deleted from the parent notification No. 73/94-Cus. dated 1.3.1994. As a consequence, A.C. cars imported by State Tourism Corporation, Tour Operators etc., under this scheme does not have a ceiling of US $ 35,000 nor the duty for such goods is required to be paid in convertible foreign exchange currency. These cars could be cleared as if normal imports except that for the purpose of their importability, the authorisation / certificate from the Director - General of Tourism in the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Government of India would be deemed to be a licence and no import licence from the D.G.F.T. need to be insisted for such imports. Singh) Senior Technical Officer F.No. 224/9/95-CX 6 Collector changed to Commissioner Order No. 2/95 dated the 3rd July, 1995 - CBEC, New Delhi Consequent upon coming into existence of the Finance Act 1995 w.e.f. 26.5.95 and in pursuance of the notification No. 29/95-CE (NT) dated 30th June, 1995 the following orders issued by Central Board of Excise and Customs, assigning cases to the Collector of Central Excise, Collector of Customs and Assistant Collector or Central Excise, from time to time shall be deemed to have been assigned to Commissioner of Central Excise, Commissioner of Customs and Assistant Commissioner of Central Excise respectively, and for the words Collector of Central Excise , Collector of Customs and Assistant Collector of Central Excise wherever they occur, in those orders, the words commissioner of Central Excise , Commissioner of Customs and Assistant Commissioner of Central Excise shall be substituted:- 1.
