INSTRUCTION NO. 431/CBDT Dated: June 16, 1972 Please refer to Board's letter of even number dated the 24th April, 1971 on the above subject. 2. The decisions of the High Court considered by the Board during the above mentioned quarters are herewith summarised. The decisions have been classified as under the attached statement. Statement "A" :- Decisions of High Courts which have been accepted by the Board. Statement "B" :- Decisions of High Courts which were not found acceptable but appeals to the Supreme Court were not filed because either the revenue involved was small or because on similar points the Department is already before the Supreme Court or for some other reasons. Statement "C" :- Decisions of High Courts which have not been accepted and appeals to the Supreme Court have been filed. Copies may please be circulated for the information of the Officers in your charge including Authorised Representatives.
