Amends notification no. 221/1986–CE, DT. 02/04/1986 - 019/2006 - Central Excise - Tariff

Amends notification no. 221/1986-CE, DT. 02/04/1986 Notification No. 19/2006-CE Dated 01/03/2006 G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 221/86-Central Excise, dated the 2nd April,1986 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.576(E), dated the 2nd April, 1986, namely:- In the said notification, in the Table, - (i) for S.No.1, and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and the entries shall be substituted, namely: - (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "1. 3920, 3921 (except 39211100, 39211200, 39211310, 39211390, 39211400, 39211900 and 39219010) Strips of plastics 54049020 Strips and the like of synthetic textile material."; (ii) for S.No.3, and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and the entries shall be substituted, namely: - (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "3. 3920, 3921 (except 3921 11 00, 3921 12 00, 3921 13 10, 3921 13 90, 3921 14 00, 3921 19 00 and 3921 90 10) Films of plastics 3920 or 5404 90 20 Strips and the like of plastics and the like of synthetic textile material."; (iii) against S.No.7, for the entry in column (4), the entry "9103 or 9105" shall be substituted; (iv) for S.No.9, and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and the entries shall be substituted, namely: - (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "9. 330210 Flavouring essences and concentrates 2202 10 10 Aerated waters."; (v) for S.No.10, and the entries relating thereto, the follow ing S.No. and the entries shall be substituted, namely: - (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "10. 68 Plaster of Paris moulds, in which more than 25% by weight of red mud, press mud or blast furnace slag or one or more of their materials have been used 69 Ceramic products.".
