To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for engineering sector at Villages Alwa and Pipalia, Taluka Waghodia, District Vadodara in the State of Gujarat. - S.O.1084(E) - Special Economic Zone

[TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY, PART-II SECTION-3, SUB-SECTION (ii)] Government of India MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) New Delhi, the 11th July,2008 NOTIFICATION S.O.1084(E). - Whereas M/s. Suzlon Infrastructure Limited, a private organization in the State of Gujarat, has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for engineering sector at Villages Alwa and Pipalia, Taluka Waghodia, District Vadodara in the State of Gujarat; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act , and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the said Act for development, operation and maintenance of the Special Economic Zone for engineering sector at Villages Alwa and Pipalia on 23rd May, 2007 on an area of 115.73 hectares; And whereas the Central Government, after being satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements were fulfilled, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zone Act, 2005 read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006, notified the total area of 100.99.00 hectares, vide notification of the Government of India in the ministry of Commerce and Industry number S.O. 1084(E) dated the 03.07.2007 and also an area of 9.67.61 hectares vide S.O. No.1669 (E) dated 11.07.2008 ; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies the remaining area of 4.97.78 hectares at Villages Alwa and Pipalia, Taluka Waghodia, District Vadodara in the State of Gujarat, comprising of the survey numbers and the area given below, as a Special Economic Zone, namely:- TABLE S.
