Rescinds the sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology at Village Panda, Tehsil Mahu, District Indore, Madhya Pradesh. - S.O. 1775(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th July, 2011 S.O. 1775(E).- Whereas, M/s. Medicaps IT Park Private Limited had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology at Village Panda, Tehsil Mahu, District Indore, Madhya Pradesh; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 11.936 hectares at the above location as Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O. 1389(E), dated 31 st August, 2006 ; And, whereas, M/s. Medicaps IT Park Private Limited has proposed to denotify the entire area of 11.936 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for denotification of above area on 21 st January, 2011; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
