Central Government de-notifies an area of 7.906 hectares at Pocharam Village, Hayathnagar Taluka, Ghatkesar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad in the State of Telangana - S.O. 4775 (E). - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 16th November, 2021 S.O. 4775 (E) .-Whereas, M/s. Mindspace Business Parks Pvt. Ltd. (formerly M/s. K. Raheja Corporation Private Limited and M/s. Serene Properties Pvt. Ltd.), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services (IT/ITES) at Pocharam Village, Hayathnagar Taluka, Ghatkesar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad in the State of Telangana (erstwhile Andhra Pradesh); AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, notified an area of 26.895 hectares and de-notified an area of 14.162 hectares vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Gazette Notifications Number S.O. 869(E) dated 01st June, 2007 and S.O 3106(E) dated 23.08.2019 , respectively; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Mindspace Business Parks Pvt. Ltd. has now proposed for partial de-notification of 7.906 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam, SEZ has recommended the proposal for partial de-notification of an area of 7.906 hectares of the Special Economic Zone and the de-notified land will be used for developing infrastructure and office spaces for IT/ITES Sector; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Telangana has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. 1948/IT C/Prom2/2006 dated 02.07.2021; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 7.906 hectares at Pocharam Village, Hayathnagar Taluka, Ghatkesar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad in the State of Telangana (erstwhile Andhra Pradesh), thereby making the resultant area as 4.827 hectares.
