Central Government de-notifies an area of 20.234 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 32.409 hectares at Village Tigariya Badshah and Bada Bangarda, Near Super Corridor, Tehsil Hatod, Indore in the State of Madhya Pradesh - S.O. 2727(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ Section) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 16th June, 2025 S.O. 2727(E) Whereas, M/s. Infosys Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up an Information Technology Special Economic Zone at Village Tigariya Badshah and Bada Bangarda, Near Super Corridor, Tehsil Hatod, Indore in the State of Madhya Pradesh; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 52.643 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 735(E) dated 13th March, 2013 ; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Infosys Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 20.234 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Madhya Pradesh has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. SNT/9/00015/2023/41-2 dated 26th February, 2024; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Indore SEZ has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 20.234 hectares of the Special Economic Zone. AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 20.234 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 32.409 hectares.
